Even if your budget and timeline mean a studio-built artisan stair is no longer possible, there may still be hope to create a staircase of elegance and beauty.
Our Stair Lab clients work with the same design team as our residential and commercial clients. We’ll treat you like any other client – take you through the entire design process, working within the financial and logistical constraints of your project. We’ll come to your site. We will measure and photograph. We will review your existing conditions. And we will listen to you.
When the design is complete, our skilled craftspeople will create the custom parts package you need to construct a simple to moderately-complex staircase.
When the custom stair parts are ready, we’ll summon the key parties, including the owner, contractor, and installer, or whoever you’ve chosen to do the final assembly of your stair.
We’ll lay everything out in our studio. We’ll review the design drawings, along with all the new necessary documentation – and then we’ll talk you through the installation process.
We’ll share tricks of the trade. Sequencing. Staging. All aspects of assembly that we’ve learned constructing staircases for the last 30 years. This knowledge will save you and your team days or weeks of frustration.
Often times our schedule may even allow for a specialized technical site visit, that can facilitate or even complete, some if not all of the more complex portions of your project install.
Ultimately, final construction is up to you and your team. You’ll use your skills and our knowledge to execute the installation. With our help, you’ll save money by avoiding common mistakes and costly re-dos.
It’s not the studio-built stair of your dreams, but in the end your stair will be beautiful, elegant, and durable. With our plans and assistance, you can be sure that the process will go as smoothly as it can.
